Whispers In The Dark
Are you afraid of the dark?
When I was a child, darkness always managed to scare the
living daylights out of me. I always surrendered, when I was in the dark. I
never wanted to ever open up my eyes, when the lights were out, only because I
believed that I would see white people. Now, these white people I’m referring
to could probably be ghosts or maybe angels. As long as the lights are on, I’m
good, but then there always is a time when the lights have to go off, and when
they do, the curtains start to move or either that chair I was sitting on,
doesn’t look the same anymore, now that it has eyes. Is it true that I’m really
just imagining things? Why has this fear overruled me? Darkness doesn’t have
hands and legs like me, it doesn’t have a mouth to call out to God. What does
the darkness do to protect itself? It sure doesn’t have any super hero. As for me, I don't just have a super hero. I have angels to protect me, too.
God is bigger than, the air I breathe. God will save the day!
God says, “My love is just waiting to turn your tears to
roses. I will be the one, that’s going to find you, I will be the one, that’s
going to guide you. My love is a burning consuming fire.” - Skillet
The dark, cannot harm me anymore, because God
has promised me that, when darkness comes, He will light the night with stars.
He’s the only person, who hears my whispers
in the dark.
Fear cannot take over me anymore, it cannot win anymore and
I’m not going to bow down to it. I have something that it doesn’t have, I have
Jesus.

BOMB-ay!!!
After
the bomb blasts, people all over are terrified. Naturally, there isn’t any
place that is safe now. Since the blasts, every place you visit has tight
security. I think, it’s a good thing, that people have taken the initiative to
protect every citizen of the city. But, do you think this security all over is
really that reliable? Personally, I don’t think so.
When the
bomb blasts that took place in Bombay were very recent, everybody had a fear of
walking out of their houses. They were all so scared to go to crowded places,
like malls, etc. So, since then, malls have security, and they check you all
over, before you can enter. But, today, the security guards don’t bother that
much. Sometimes, they don’t check women. Why?
Can’t women be terrorists? Are they waiting for another blast to happen for
them to get geared up all over again?
Another
example of people taking advantage is, not keeping the city clean. Everyone
reads the slogan, “Clean Mumbai, Green Mumbai”. Guess what, that’s not just
something to read and forget. We should take part and try to make, where we
live, a better place.
Plastic bags
are banned.. Seriously? That’s why malls are
taking money for plastic bags? They actually think, that is going to stop
people from using them? I haven’t seen anybody with cloth bags, yet.
Nothing
is taken seriously anywhere. Even people’s lives are not that important to
anyone anymore.
